Mark Ashmore

Mark’s background in theatre and multimedia performance has put Asha-Media at the forefront of the creative industries in the North of England.

Mark Graduated from the University of Brighton with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Theatre Arts in 2006 and since Graduating Mark has worked freelance as an AD for the BBC, ITV and SKY and for various independent feature film productions.

Ashmore's first short film ‘The Cell’ was shown on BBC2 in 2003, and his first play ‘Future Tales of a lost tribe’ was performed at the Tabard Theatre in London in 2007, in 2008 his 2nd short film gained national press attention for attracting over a million views on its web site, the film ‘Your State of Emergency’ was also shown as part of the 61st Festival du Cannes in France in May 2008, his 3rd Film Broken Britain is released this year on the film festival circuit, and is already gaining a following by a unique social network distribution model, several feature film projects are also in the pipeline.

Ashmore is well traveled, having lived and worked in America teaching video production and drama, lived in Spain for 2 summers, and has spent many months backpacking around south east Asia and Sri Lanka.

Mark say’s ‘media in the 21st century is not just about Print, TV, Film, Radio its not that simple, the internet has opened up the away the audience uses information, its now a two way lip service, every idea should work across every available media platform, and each media platform help another media platform to thrive, Asha media was set up to address distribution and creative problems faced with our own film and TV productions, and now we can share what we know with you.’

Rob Humar

 

Rob graduated from the University of Derby in 2008 with a first class honors degree in Multimedia Technology and Music Production. In his final year Rob staged a massive multimedia production entitled "BFG Piano" is which he created a giant sized piano with a huge video game along with it in which people could play. He also completed a Double Award AVCE from Chesterfield college in I.C.T.

Throughout his education and previous to it Rob has worked as a freelance designer for his own company Essential Design. This involved working with numerous companies throughout the UK designing them promotional print and corporate web sites.

Rob then signed up with the largest online retailer of Car Electronics in the UK, InPhase International. His role here was Senior Web Developer. He was in charge of a small team managing numerous E-Commerce web sites that achieved over 1000 hits per day and gained over one million pounds revenue each year.

Rob has known Mark since 2004 in which they collaborated as freelancers on various multimedia projects. Rob was music composer and producer on 'Your State Of Emergency' in which Mark produced and directed. In 2008 Rob merged his company, Essential Design, with Marks film production company to create 'ASHA Media'.

Rob's design work follows the simple words of Leonardo Da Vinci... "Simplicity is the ultimate form of Sophistication" and in today's world of design, this style fits in perfectly.
